Cloud Finance Association: where finance pros collaborate to maximize cloud ROI

Cloud spend has moved from "an IT line item" to "one of the largest variable costs on the P&L" in under a decade. The people responsible for managing that cost — controllers, FP&A teams, CFOs — usually weren't trained on it. Cloud cost education has historically sat with engineering, not finance.

The Cloud Finance Association exists to close that gap. It's a community for accounting and finance professionals to learn cloud financial management from each other, share what's working, and stop reinventing the same playbooks in isolation.

Member benefits include CPE-qualified educational events, workshops on FinOps frameworks, and direct access to practitioners who are doing this work at scale. The agenda is set by members — sessions cover topics like cloud cost allocation, commitment portfolio management, and the financial controls that should sit on top of public cloud spend.

Membership is open to finance and accounting professionals, students entering the field, and institutional investors who want to understand how their portfolio companies are managing cloud spend.

The CFA was launched jointly by:
